The new and improved www.NorthernSwing.ca is going to help you with your golf game in many ways. The site will include bi-weekly tips, local tournament news, articles, golf course directory, and best of all the opportunity to shop for your favourite brands right on this website. Buy direct and get it shipped to your door. There will even be an online fitting program to ensure proper equipment purchasing.

The Bi-Weekly Tips will offer great ideas on how to improve your game, more importantly, it will offer insight in to determining if certain tips will help or hurt your own personal game. The reason this is important is because not all tips out there are meant for your body type, or swing type. We will help you understand what tips are relevant to your game.

There will be discussion forums where you will be able to talk about many subjects regarding golf all over the world. All aspects of the game can be discussed. You can even send a question or comment to Mat Vachon, Head Professional. He will respond to your inquiry via e-mail in a timely fashion. Nothing is off limits; Mat will help you with anything that is relevant to golf.

Local tournaments will be covered so that everyone will know the results and the behind the scenes stories from that particular event.

Local or surrounding area tournaments will be able to post their tournaments on this site to help raise awareness and perhaps even grow the tournament’s attendance.

At times we will feature specific golf courses by providing an in depth story regarding the history and present status of various courses. We also hope to offer course conditions year round for all Northern Ontario courses. Course reviews will be an on-going feature for our website. This should help golfers decide where they will want to visit next on their golf trips.

Other featured news to be covered is the Northern Ontario Jr. Golf circuit, and with local sponsorship help the first ever Timmins Jr. Golf Association. This team of players will be traveling south to compete in various golf events. The goal is to grow attention to Northern Ontario as a breeding ground for young golf talent. This can lead to multiple scholarship opportunities for our youths.

The results of our special nights at Northern Swing, such as Ladies’ Nights, will be displayed each week on this site as well.
