Lever/sullivan charity golf event a great success
Northern Swing and Taylor Made teamed up on Thursday afternoon at Spruce Needles Golf Club during the 20th Kidsport Charity Golf Day. This event has been raising funds for this wonderful charity for many years. The charity is dedicated to helping less fortunate kids around the city, be able to participate in sports that they may otherwise not be able to afford.
It could not have been a more beautiful day. The course was in perfect condition and great scores were posted. Participants were also entertained with various games and events, organized by Kenn Sullivan of Molson. They put on a wonderful fun event for the competitors, where raising funds for the charity is the goal and fun is the theme.
Northern Swing was proud to be part of this great event, and Taylor Made were more than happy to join us in helping raise funds for the cause. Some of the games we provided for the players were, a long drive challenge on Hole #15, and a putting challenge held on the practice putting green. The long drive challenge gave players an opportunity to use the latest in Taylor Made Drivers in a competition within their group, the best drive in the group had their name entered into a draw to win a Taylor Made R9 Supertri Driver (valued at $450). The other event hosted by Northern Swing and Taylor Made was a putt-off where players attempted a very long putt, and if they were successful in leaving the ball a certain distance of the hole then they would have their names entered into the draw for a Taylor Made Putter (Valued at $200).
Long Drive Winner: Alex Robichaud
Putt-Off Winner: Owen Rigg
Northerrn Swing and Taylor Made were also proud to be able to provide the Kidsport live auction with a Taylor Made R9 Supertri Driver.
All in all it was a great day for golf and Kidsport of Timmins www.kidsporttimmins.com. Fun was had by all and we encourage everyone to experience this day atleast once in their lifetime.
Northern Swing would like to acknowledge all of the generous volunteers who help make the charity event possible. A special mention to Sam Moss of Taylor Made/ Adidas for traveling from Ottawa to join us for this great day.
